Email link authentication, sometimes called low-touch authentication, allows users to access certain Workiva Platform features without needing to sign in. This helps users more quickly complete their tasks and streamline their experience.
Allow email link authentication
Those with the Org Workspace Admin or Org Security Admin roles can allow email link authentication in the Workspace Settings.
Note: This option can only be turned on if your organization doesn't require SAML Single Sign-On (SSO). If your organization does require SSO, you won't be able to use the email link authentication setting, and all users will need to sign in using SSO.
To allow email link authentication:
- Go to the Security tab in Workspace Settings.
- Select the Allow users to authenticate and access certain features via email link checkbox.
- Once turned on, users will receive the relevant email notifications with custom links that will authenticate them and direct them to the Workiva platform feature without requiring them to sign in.
