Designed Reporting

Lock Floating Object Properties feature now available in Documents

Lock Object Properties gives you greater control over your document layout. With this update, you can lock down position, size, and all other object properties for Floating Objects in Documents. Simply right-click on an object and select Lock object properties. Your layout is now secure from unintentional changes.

This feature was built to ensure uninterrupted collaboration. While object properties are locked, authors can continue to seamlessly work together on the contents within the object. Examples include changing text, updating cell values, or refining chart designs, etc.

To resize, reposition, or change any other object property, simply right-click and select Unlock object properties. Make your desired changes and lock again.

This feature is currently only available on floating objects in Documents. This will be in Presentations soon.

Pasting images into Workiva Documents

You can now continue to paste images into Workiva Documents from your clipboard when you have a floating object selected, or are actively editing text in a floating object. Previously, this action did not work as expected.

Workiva Platform

Header mapping for PDF Accessibility

Using your style guide, you can now map your heading styles for PDF accessibility. Map your heading one at a time for each style and heading tags will be added when Tag for web accessibility advanced PDF export option is selected.

Find improvements on large documents

Improvements have been made to make find in Documents, Presentations, and Spreadsheets now works faster on large documents.

Workspaces

Created the View Workspace Memberships ability

We've created the View Workspace Memberships ability to increase your control over who can see a list of all workspace members through the workspace settings people icon  in the top left.

This may impact what some users see. All roles, expect for the Limited Starter and Workspace Member roles, will now have the View Workspace Memberships ability and will be able to access People.

You can also create custom roles to exclude this ability if you want to limit access to the view People and list of workspace memberships for security and privacy reasons.
