When creating extension concepts for tagging Pay vs. Performance or Erroneously Awarded Compensation disclosures out of the Executive Compensation Disclosure (ECD) or Cybersecurity Disclosure (CYD) taxonomy, you will need to map them back to which disclosure they are being used for. This ensures the Presentation, Label, and Definition linkbase files can be generated properly.
If not mapped properly, a validation error will be returned when generating the XBRL which states the Concept is not in the Outline. The error will contain a direct link to the fact(s) using the concept and the extension itself. Map the concept to the disclosure and regenerate the XBRL to clear this error. This error is not unique to unmapped ECD or CYD extension concepts and can also exist when concepts used on facts have not been added to the editable outline.
This is needed since you do not have to edit the XBRL Outline for tagging these disclosures. Extension members created for tagging these disclosures do not need to be explicitly mapped.
