Workiva AI can summarize and analyze tables in your documents, presentations, and spreadsheets. Select an entire table and Workiva AI will generate a simple narrative from your most complex data, or select just a few cells to perform analysis on a subset of your data.
You can also reference specific tables in your documents when using Workiva AI's intelligent companion.
Requirements
- Workiva AI is available to any customer who has signed the Workiva AI Terms of Use. Once approved, Workiva AI is enabled by default for the entirety of the organization, including all existing and newly added workspaces and users.
- Org Admins can manage this enablement by restricting Workiva AI to specific workspaces and users or disabling it for the entire organization.

Summarize data tables
To summarize an entire table:
- Select all cells, including the table headers, and click Workiva AI > Do something else.
- Instruct Workiva AI to create a narrative, like "Summarize the changes in net income."
- You can then Copy the response and paste it wherever you need it in the Workiva platform.
You can also select a subset of cells within a table and ask natural language questions about that particular cell range.
