Error uploading file to spreadsheets
The cell limit for this spreadsheet has been exceeded
Cell limit exceeded
Cause
Spreadsheets have a hard limit of 2,000,000 cells. If a connection refresh will exceed this limit, the connection will fail.
Solution
You should first remove the connected query from your sheet and check the cell count without the query. To verify your spreadsheet's cell count, select File > Properties > Spreadsheet from the File menu at the top of the screen. Your current cell count is located under the Limits tab.
If the spreadsheet is near the cell limit, we recommend the following steps to cleanse your data:
- Delete any blank cells or columns
- Merge columns for mapping
- Use alternative formulas that consume fewer cells
- Remove inessential columns or data
After completing these steps, re-add the connection and try it again. If the connection still fails, you may need to reconfigure the query so the data is output to more than one spreadsheet.
