This article is for:
- Workspace Owners
From your ESG Program, you curate and track metric values to disclose in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting. To enable multiple values for your metrics, Workspace Owners can set up custom dimensions for your company from the ESG Program or a metric's Configure metric panel.
For example, your company may collect multiple values for a metric based on different:
- Entity locations
- Market regions
- Business units
- Demographics, such as gender or race
Note: Only Workspace Owners can manage an ESG Program's metrics' available dimensions.
Create dimensions
From an ESG Program's metric, Workspace Owners can create the dimensions available for workspace members who collaborate on the ESG Program and its metrics.
Note: For optimal performance and experience, we recommend up to 250 active dimensions — with up to 1,500 active values each — for an ESG Program, up to 6,000 values collected annually per metric.
- Access the dimensions from the ESG Program or a metric:
- From the ESG Program, click Dimensions .
- From a metric, click Manage dimensions on the Configure metric panel.
- From the ESG Program, click Dimensions .
- Click Add dimension.
- Enter a name to identify the overall dimension, such as Business unit, Location, or Gender.
- For each value of the dimension, click Add value, and enter its ID and a display name.
Note: To ensure data integrity, you can't delete a value or edit its ID after you save the dimension. To delete a value before you save the dimension, select Remove from its menu.
- After you add all of the dimension's values, click Save.
- Add any additional dimensions and their values, and click Close.
