When generating XBRL, you might receive the following error.
EFM.6.05.20.documentPeriodEndDateMissing
"The Document Period End Date element must be included in the Document and Entity information table, and the date must match the current year to date reporting period."
To fix this, ensure the Cover page date is tagged with either the reporting period or the event date, and that the value includes a source link formatted as a date. The Concept will be Document Period End Date.
After confirming the accuracy of the date tag and format, ensure that the same dates are applied to the corresponding tags within your 8K filing. While the Document Period End date is likely to reflect the new date, other concepts and facts within the document may have different dates assigned.
Also verify that the dates are rolled forward to the correct dates. Visit the 8K data roll forward article to learn more. Make sure the rest of the dates are rolled forward to the correct one. (follow the steps of the support article 8K date roll forward)
