I would like to request a feature to track the edit history of comments within documents and spreadsheets.

Currently, when a comment is edited, the previous version is overwritten and there is no way of retrieving the original content. For auditing and compliance purposes, it would be very important to have an audit trail showing the original comment text and who edited.

Having a full comment history (similar to how Workiva tracks revision history for document content) would greatly improve the governance and audit readiness.
