11K XBRL Validation Error DQC.US.0099.9533 Validation Error
Hi,
We fully tagged our 2025 Form 11-K in-house and received one validation error (see screenshot attached).
The error relates to us-gaap:EmployeeBenefitPlanNetAssetAvailableForBenefit being included in the presentation linkbase but not in a calculation relationship. However, we did create a calculation relationship for this tag in our filing.
We are not sure why the validation is still triggering or how to resolve it. Could you please advise on what might be causing this error and how to clear it?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

I had this same error in our 11-Ks and spent a TON of time trying to clear it. I finally gave up and was just going to file with it, but during my review of the footnote tags, I made a change that somehow cleared it. I don't know what exactly I did that cleared it, but I think it was in the later footnotes. Maybe double check your tags in the footnote for the reconciliation to the 5500. Our document uses that same tag for the first line of the reconciliation and then I have a calculation assertion on the total per the form 5500.
0Thank you, Lori. I did spend a lot of time trying to follow the calculation assertion for the EBP, net asset available for benefit tag but no luck. We do not have a footnote for the reconciliation to form 5500 and that tag was not used elsewhere. Appreciate the suggestion! I will take a closer look from that angle.
0Hello,
Thank you for your question regarding the validation error you are seeing.
This issue is related to Data Quality Rule (DQC) 99 from XBRL US. The rule currently requires a specific naming convention: it expects the section to be titled "Statement of Changes in Net Asset Available for Benefit" (plural). If your outline is named "Statement of Change in Net Asset Available for Benefit" (singular), the rule triggers a false positive because it cannot correctly map the calculation assertion where is is located in the other Net Asset Available for Benefit statement.
You can find more details regarding this rule logic here: DQC Rule 99
We have reported this nuance to XBRL US to request an update to the rule to accommodate both naming variations. In the meantime, you can resolve this validation error by updating your outline section name to include the "s" (i.e., "Statement of Changes in Net Assets").
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
