Are there Excel settings we need to be aware of and set so that after uploading to SOX/Audit workspace the file is displayed correctly in the evidence/markup viewer?

Some sheets display fine, but others will display a few columns over a few pages. The width of the sheets/pages are different and not all consistent. Sometime we can upload a sheet with 20 columns and it all shows on one page and other times it breaks it up into multiple pages. All sheets are in the same workbook. We've removed print area settings, set to landscape orientation, tried the scaling to fit, etc. None are working.
Are there excel settings we need to set to make sure the uploaded sheets look consistent?

Hi Hoa!
Thanks for the question. I double checked with our SOX experts and have some tips for you. For the best experience, we recommend checking your files for the following:
- Print view settings
- Password protected/locked files
In addition, population files do need to have a header row. Outside of that, there may be outliers I'm not aware of but those should cover it. Let me know what questions you have or if you need anything else. Thanks again and happy Wednesday!
0Hi Mike! There is an ongoing issue with viewing Excel documents in the evidence viewer. Our team is having to download all submitted excel files to our desktops to analyze as the view is not coming across correctly. I appreciate how the team has figured out that the print view settings may be to blame but asking our hundreds of control owners (who are constantly in flux) to check their print view settings for each document they upload is not something that we have time to do. Any guidance on if this issue can be investigated would be extremely appreciated.
Many thanks,
Alex
0Hi Alexandra!
Thanks for reaching out. Hmm... that's a fair point there. Let me bring this one back up to our experts to see if any improvements and/or additional workarounds exist. Hold tight and we'll be in touch. Cheers!
0Any updates on the appropriate solution (=asking hundreds of control owners to check their print view settings for each document they upload is not realistic/practical). Three years have passed, I assume there is a solution. Please advise.
0Hi Eitan Herman,
Thank you for your patience on this. I've drummed up a Support ticket on your behalf so your team can investigate further. We'll be in touch shortly!
0Any update on this? We're trying to upload excel files to testing sections and it cuts off the columns in Markup Viewer and puts them on a separate page. It makes it pretty messy when trying to tie-out our workpapers. I've adjusted the print-view settings, still no luck.
0Hi SNM, I'll get you connected with a Support Engineer who can dig a bit deeper. Hang tight!
0Hi Isabel,
As far as I can see this is 6 year ago since first raised.
I assume this is cross the boarder for all customers.
2 years ago I pinged this request which you replied "I've drummed up a Support ticket on your behalf so your team can investigate further. We'll be in touch shortly!".
No update or solution. Seems that SNM is also asking the same with a similar response.
0Hi Eitan Herman,
I completely understand your frustration, and I apologize that we didn't get this successfully resolved for you in the past.
While I don't have the exact details on how Hoa's and Alex’s historical case concluded, I am actively tracking SNM's current conversation with our Support team. I'll make sure to share any helpful updates or workarounds back to this thread as soon as we have them.
In the meantime, I would be more than happy to open a brand new Support request for you so our engineers can take another look at your specific setup. They'll be able to chat with you directly. Let me know if you'd like me to get that started!
