Hello and welcome to the Community, Lilly!

Great question. I think I follow you. To confirm, you mean an org chart kinda like this?

The above image is from a Workiva Presentation, so you can create them in Workiva, and you can link the text in the shapes so you can keep it auto-updated from a source sheet, for example. However, shapes are currently not available in Documents, so the work to get the org chat into a document will still be two parts.

One way you could do it is the old screen grab you mention from your prepared Presentation, or you could export the single slide with the org chart to a PDF and convert that PDF to a JPG image and insert that into your document.

I'll add that the option to add shapes to documents is something that's being looked at, meaning you could make the org chart directly in your document. I'm happy to add you as a requestor there. Let me know if you have any questions for me in the meantime. Thanks much and happy Friday!

    Hello again!

You might have already seen, but earlier in Q3 the functionality for free-form shapes in Documents was added as part of the Designed Reporting feature extension. To fully access, you may need to contact your CSM or PSM. Here's some additional documentation on the enhancement as well but do let us know what questions you have have. Thanks again for your patience and feedback along the way. We couldn't have done it without you.
