iXBRL Label Roles
已回答Is there a glossary of some sort to define what the label roles mean and how they differ from each other? Sometimes i find that I use Terse and Verbose when I want the numbers to remain positive, but I don't know what the difference is. There's other times when i use negated vs. negated terse, just because I need to use a different role type.

You are using the label roles correctly! I often refer to terse and verbose as option 1 and option 2. The EDGAR Filer Manual from the SEC tells us to use “different terse or verbose labels if the same element will appear with different labels....”
Sadly, there are no real definitions for these label roles, but they do have an impact in the traditional SEC Viewer:
Terse/Verbose - have no impact on the viewer; the fact value will be displayed as it is tagged
Negated/Negated Terse - will render the XBRL fact value opposite of the fact value sign (this is often used when we reverse a fact value)
Total - will place a line underneath the fact value in the viewer and should be used when a calculation relationship is built请先登录再写评论。
