Graphic on Cover Page iXBRL Tagging
已回答When test filing, I received the following error message..."Error: [EFM.5.02.05.graphicFileContent] InlineXBRL references a graphics file which doesn't have expected content.
What is the best way to resolve this error message? Are you no longer able to file with an image on the cover page if you have transitioned to iXBRL?

Hi John!
I'm happy to help you resolve this issue. It's a tricky one, but here's the low down and how to address.
You may certainly have an image within your iXBRL filing, but unlike EDGAR, which does no image validation at all, iXBRL / Arelle enforce that images are valid JPEG or GIF images, and sometimes even valid JPEG files fail this check, especially if they contain metadata. To resolve this error, you need to replace the image with a compliant one. Follow these steps to remove any metadata present:
- Download the JPEG image in question to your desktop.
- Right-click on the JPEG file and select Properties
- Click on the “Remove Properties and Personal Information” at the bottom of the Detail tab
- Choose "Select All" to remove all properties and click "Ok"
- Upload the updated JPEG file into Wdesk, keeping the current filename and overwriting the previous file
These steps should remove any metadata present on the errant file and resolve the error message. Let me know what questions you have for me of if you need anything else. Thanks for your contributions and have a great day in the meantime. Cheers!
Hi Mike,
I am also getting this same error message, but cannot download my .jpg image to access the properties as shown above. I can only download into paint or snip (limited by company). How can I resolve the error - correct the image?
Thanks!
