    Hi Skrikanth!

Thanks for the question. Happy to help here.

To duplicate a conditional format rule across various columns in a table, you can utilize the Format Painter tool available in Workiva. Here are the steps:

    1. Select your Content: Choose the cell or set of cells with the desired conditional formatting applied.

    2. Use Format Painter:
      - Single-click the Format Painter icon to copy the formatting to one section.
      - Double-click the Format Painter icon to copy the formatting to multiple sections.

    3. Apply the Formatting: Click on the column headers or the specific cell headers where you want to apply the copied conditional format.

This method allows you to transfer all the formatting from one area of your document to another, including complex conditional formatting rules.

Let me know if I've missed the mark here or you have any follow-ups. Thanks again and have a happy Friday!

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for the response. I think we are looking to see if there is a way to duplicate the Conditional Format rule.

Because we would need to change the cell location in each rule.

For example the above rule i created checks cell S4 and populates cell B4 with corresponding color.

the second rule would be to check cell T4 and populate cell E4.

the third rule would be to check cell U4 and populated cell F4 etc.

    Thanks.

Thanks for this info, Srikanth. I see what you mean.

I tested a bit further and it doesn't seem to be possible to copy and paste the condition in that manner, i.e. to essentially transpose the formula condition like it would if you copied over the formula. It does copy the condition, but keeps the formula range you had on the prior cell. For example, as you probably experienced, if you copy the formatting on cell B4 and paste into E4, the condition that gets applied is the one for =$S$4=1. I think your only workaround here is to apply a new condition for cells B4, E4 and F4. Does that make sense?

In the meantime, I'll add your request to our suggestion for copying and pasting conditions and will keep you apprised of that request. Thanks again and do let me know if you have any follow-ups.

Thanks Mike. We went ahead and manually created the rules for other cells like this below.

Please let me know if any other options exist that will reduce manual work.
