ESG program task's status reverts when the approver is changed
We've observed that if an approver changes (in Metric Assignment) after the assignee has submitted the metric value (and attachments/notes) for approval, the task reverts to the initial "In progress" state and is re-assigned to the assignee, who must return to the task and re-submit it (after already having done so).
Is there any way around this behavior, i.e., so that even when an approver is changed, the task remains in the same approval state / with the same level of approver that it was before, and the assignee doesn't have to return and re-submit the task? There seems to be no clear benefit to or rationale for this behavior, and naturally assignees don't understand why they have to go in and re-do work they've already done.

Ah, that's great feedback, Andrew! I'll take that back to the team, thanks for calling it out.
