Document A is a summary of a very long Document B. In Document A, we often say 'see page # in Document B' and it's a manually inputted number in Document A.
I know you can automate page numbers in the same document (ie like a table of contents in Document B), but how can I automate and link it between two different documents?
Things I've tried:
1 - inserting the auto text for page numbers in spreadsheet (so i could link from the Document B to the spreadsheet and then the spreadsheet to Document A....but it looks like you can't insert the auto text in a spreadsheet).
2- creating a non-printing section in Document B and then using the auto text to create a page number....but looks like you can't use auto text in a non-printing section in a document
