Argument to specify Unique values in TEXTJOIN() Function in Wdesk Spreadsheets
I was working in a Wdesk spreadsheet, and I needed to combine cells that contained text into one cell with a delimiter between the text from each cell. However, some of the cells that I am trying to combine contained repeated text, so I thought it could be useful to possibly include an optional Unique argument in TEXTJOIN() so the user can specify whether they want to join the text as is or whether they only want to join unique values from a given range.

0Awesome! Thank you very much.
0Hi Stephen!
One workaround that I came upon in the interim could be to use TEXTJOIN in conjunction with IF, AND or OR functions, which are also supported in Workiva. I've not personally created this combined function, but a pass through the annals of Google provided some tips on it. Wanted to share that. Thanks for your suggestions!
0Thanks for the tip! I have been able to get what I needed done using IF, AND, and OR, but the formulas are pretty ugly and not easily readable. This suggestion was more for aesthetic/reproducibility reasons. Thank you for all of this feedback though! I honestly didn't think I would get this much feedback so quickly.
