Formatting within the text boxes of the test forms

Is there a hot key or any way to format the text within the test form text boxes to show multiple lines?

 

For example, we have a procedures performed box for each control, which is where we type in the steps of the control. We currently cannot format the procedures into a list so it looks like this:

     For the control tested herein, the reviewer completes the following steps: 1. Open Report X, 2. Verify Report X, and 3. Sign off on Report X

We would like to have them formatted: 

     For the control tested herein, the reviewer completes the following steps:

     1. Open Report X

     2. Verify Report X

     3. Sign off on Report X

    Hi Maggie Madej!

    Thanks for the questions. I was able to connect with our SOX/Controls Management team and have a few insights for you.

    The Wdesk database currently only allows hard returns in certain text box fields, such as the Control Description field, like so:
     
     
    However, other fields, such as the Control ID, only allow shorter text and no hard returns. Without seeing your database itself, it seems likely, however, that your field is setup with the shorter text option. That being said, I'd recommend contacting your CSM to have them take a look at that field in particular and seeing if we can get that updated to allow hard returns.
     
    I'll add to that work is being made on allowing more rich text formatting in text boxes, and I've extracted this post into a request and passed along to the team for further consideration.     Hi Mike. I ran across this post and wanted to see if there had been any updates on the hard stops feature in text boxes. I have a similar request but for the Test Steps/Attributes field in the Testing Experience. I would like to drop to a new line but it doesn't seem to allow me. Thanks for your help!

    Thanks for checking Rebecca Allison. I took a look and this particular request, at least rich text formatting on long fields, shows up as actually being released. Let me bring your particular case up to the team and I'll see what sticks. Thanks again and chat with you soon.
