Any way to change username without creating a new person?

    Yes, this is possible. We had the same issue, we needed to change user names to include full email addresses instead of just name. Our CSM had to do it for us on the back end. I think the history was saved, the only issue we had was getting everyone to change their saved settings to the new user name if you don't use SSO.

    Depending on your admin access, you can also do this today, but only from Classic Admin. There are some caveats to making this change, as well. First, you can't change a username to something that already exists, but that shouldn't be a problem for what you are doing. And secondly, in order to be able to make this edit, you yourself need to be a minimum of a User admin.

    In classic, go to Admin > People and then click on the More drop-down menu next to the person you wish to edit. From here, the option for 'Change username' should be available.

    If you are using Workspaces, then you will need your Workiva's help to assist on the backend. If this is the case for you, or if you find for some reason you cannot edit the username still, you can send a username change request to our Support Team at support@workiva.com or call 24/7 at 1.800.706.6526.
