When using Certifications, is there a way to include the signer's title?

    Hi Debbie!

Thanks for the question. To clarify, you are looking to have a title, such 'CEO', appear on the Certification letter, perhaps on the signature line? Or is there somewhere else you are looking to see this? In Wdesk, there's no direct way of including a Signer's title in a Certification. However, there are some workarounds I've seen.

If you are looking to have it appear on the signature line, one way I've seen this done is to edit the member's username in Wdesk to appear with their title. This is automatically populated when the Signer is added, so their first name is 'Joe' and their last name is 'Smith, CEO', which shows up on the letter as 'Joe Smith, CEO'.

Another way I've see it done is to actually collect this data within the letter by asking for it as a question in the Certification. You could also create individual Cert letters for particular people, for example, a CEO sign-off letter and a CFO sign-off letter.

If you are looking to include the Signer's title in another way I've not mentioned, let me know and I'll be happy to help however I can. And let me know too if you have any questions on the above. Thanks again and have a great day in the meantime. Cheers!

Thanks for the response.  I added the title to the last name cell and it worked just fine.

How do you make title or location a certification question?

    Hello, Veronica!

To clarify, are you asking to confirm the user's title? If so, it is not possible at this time. However, you could list all the possible options and have the signer choose their response. I hope this helps!

Hello Emily - I was thinking either confirm title/location or an open ended question where it can be input.

Hi, Veronica. You technically can't do open ended questions, but some customers will put “click here to type your location” and make that the exception. The only issue is any comment or exceptions forces a review.
