Either way, here's a quick rundown of the ESG features — new and coming soon — that were all the buzz!

Download ZIP file of supporting attachments

As previously announced in Workiva Updates and What's New in ESG, you can now save a ZIP file of the files uploaded in support of your metric values from ESG Program. For example, to respond to audit requests for evidence behind your ESG values, you can choose to download all supporting attachments uploaded to your ESG Program, or curate the ZIP file to include only specific files or attachments for specific topics or metrics. 

Note that the ZIP file can include only files uploaded as supporting attachments — no reference attachments or Workiva files or web addresses added as supporting attachments. To learn more, view Manage ESG Program metric attachments in Support Center.

Manage metric dimension values

Coming in the next few weeks, you'll be able to tailor ESG Program metrics to collect only the values you need when you apply a dimension. For example, you may have a Location dimension that includes every site of your organization, but a metric may need data for only some of those sites. Today, you can apply the Location dimension to a metric and then remove the unnecessary dimensional values; with this feature, you can instead proactively choose which values to use when you apply the dimension to the metric from the Configure metric panel.

One note for you Workspace Owners out there: Today, you can set up and manage the ESG Program's dimensions from any metric's Configure metric panel. When this feature releases, the panel will manage only the metric's dimension configuration, but you can continue to manage the ESG Program's dimensions from Program overview in the outline.

Find and replace details across multiple metrics

Further out on the horizon, you'll be able to "find and replace" details across multiple metrics at once, directly from ESG Program.

With this new feature, you can edit metrics in bulk, such as to:

• Add or remove a specific detail across multiple metrics, such as a custom Program tag
• Replace a specific detail, such as update multiple values' assignee or approver due to personnel changes
• Replace all details for selected metrics, such as to apply a common approval workflow
