A slight update here regarding the status of Replace All functionality in Workiva. The good news is that we've moved this into the "planned" phase and our product has added it to their future roadmap. I don't have a specific timeline for ya'll as of yet, but this a step in the right direction.

We'll keep you apprised of any changes and definitely keep adding your two cents below too to stay connected. Thanks as always for your patience and feedback. Chat soon!

I'm about to go through another round of making replacements one-by-one.  Do we have any further information as to when this functionality will be available?

This is a feature that should be standard to ensure efficient work. It would be great if the topic could be given a higher priority.

Any potential for 2023 delivery of find within a range and "replace all" vs. individual cell replacement?

Hi, We could really use this also. Thanks

    Agree with previous comments.

It would be very productive, efficient and time saving to have additional button "Replace all" besides button "Replace"

Hi, can I please be added to this a priority request? I agree with all the comments that being able to replace all on a spreadsheet or document is critical for efficiency of the system. thank you!

    Hi Manon!

We appreciate your input here and agree this would be a great functionality add. This does remain on the future roadmap but its not yet been earmarked for a specific body of work. We'll certainly stress its importance back to the team and will keep you updated. Thanks again for reaching out and have a great week!

Thank you both for chiming in.

As noted on this post here, due to its complexity, currently "Replace All" is not planned at least until late into 2022. We are happy to continue to take in your feedback and we'll keep this post open to gather those requests. Thanks again and give us a holler if you have any questions.

Any update on Replace All? Still on track for late 2022?

    Hi Tim!

Thanks for  your patience. Due to competing priorities, this enhancement does not seem likely to be done in 2022. However, we agree it should be part of the feature set for Find and Replace and we do plan on adding it to the platform. I've got your connected to the request on my end and have shared your feedback with our product team. And if you are at Amplify this week, come and find us in the Expo. Would love to chat more.

Thanks again and have a great rest of your day!

Hello,  Please add me to the updates for the development.   I am currently working with my team to set up a large analytics project connecting many pages that carry over previous month data by shifting the column reference.  Find and replace all is the main tool that we need.   Thanks,

    Hi Cassandra!

I would say there's potential still, for sure. Hard to say for certain as of yet. It's not on the Q2 list right now, so would be a second half of the year sorta thing.

Please tell me this feature is rolling out soon! We are having to do this for over 400+ cells.

  • Courtnie Carver

Apologies for the delay, Catherine Alqallaf, and thanks for the bump Lacie Mayeaux!

The "replace all" feature has proved more complicated than expected but our product team does still plan to implement this at some point. They will begin planning Q4 here soon so we should have a good sense on knowing where this sits in 2023 after that.

We’ll update this post again in October if it does make the cut but in the meantime we’ll continue to take in new requests and feedback.

    Thank you for your patience!

We really need this as well, after hitting replace over 1,600 times it gets pretty tedious! :-)

Hi, can I please be added to this as well.  I have spent all morning replacing in each cell.  Way too time consuming for sure.
