Hyperlink a new HTM file as an exhibit

Hello,

I have a HTM file created outside of WDesk that I need to include as an exhibit to a filing. I haven't been able to upload the file to a folder in WDesk, but I can upload it to the filing after I create it. However, by doing that I am unable to create the necessary hyperlink in the main document.

Is there any way to hyperlink to an HTM file that hasn't previously been filed and wasn't created in WDesk? I appreciate the insight in advance.

    Hi Jason!

    Great question. Thanks for asking. I asked our filing experts here, and the good news is yes, you can achieve this. To do so, follow these steps:

    1. Upload the HTM file to your Filing at the Collect step of the experience
    2. Copy the filename of the HTM file you've just uploaded
    3. Create or Edit your hyperlink in your document using the HTM filename
    4. Return to the filing and regenerate your document to include your new hyperlink update
    5. Continue through your filing

    Note: the exhibit you are upload should be EDGAR compliant, and as your progress through the filing experience, you'll like see a message like this, which can be ignored: Included file 'HTMfilename.htm' was not generated by Wdesk.
