Working in XBRL I have accidentally pasted a level 4 fact over an existing level 1 fact multiple times because I forgot to click "Create fact" first after selecting the link or table where I am pasting the level 4 fact.
I am used to just clicking on a link in the document would create the overlay where you could create/paste a level 4 fact, and it would never interfere with your level 1/2/3 tags. This extra step to "Create fact" has been a big learning curve because there is no undo button and I have to go back to retag these items from scratch, or try to copy them in from a different 10-Q/10-K if I can.
Are there any plans to better differentiate this tagging process in between the different levels of tags? Obviously we spend the most time working on level 4, but level 1 is always there in the same panel and it's really easy to not be paying close enough attention and accidentally paste over your level 1 fact. Sometimes there also appears to be a server lag where the level 1 tag may not always be visible, so it's hard to tell which XBRL fact you are selecting. Any advice on avoiding this problem when tagging would be appreciated - I'm not sure if there's a functionality that can help with this right now.
