It is anticipated that the EDGAR version 20.3 will be released by the SEC on September 21st. With this release the 2018 SEC-IFRS and 2018 DEI taxonomies will no longer be supported by the SEC.
If you are utilizing the US GAAP Taxonomy, you’ll want to confirm you have migrated to either the 2019 or 2020 UGT with either the 2019 or 2020 DEI. And if you are working with 2018 SEC-IFRS Taxonomy, then you’ll need to migrate from this taxonomy to either the 2019 or 2020 SEC-IFRS taxonomies. As a reminder, it is recommended that you do not skip years when migrating (i.e. going from 2018 SEC-IFRS to 2020 SEC-IFRS).
If you are still in 2018 SEC-IFRS, you can follow the steps below to migrate to 2020 SEC-IFRS:
- Migrate your file to 2019 SEC-IFRS;
- Address all deprecated and action items from the migration log;
- Migrate to 2020 SEC-IFRS
We'll provide an update here just as soon as the 2018 SEC-IFRS is officially unsupported, but if there are any questions along the way, feel free to reach out here, to your PSM or CSM, or our 24/7 customer support team and we'll be happy to help.
Thanks much, and happy filings!
