Welcome to the Community Jay Meena!

Great question. The good news is yes, we do have some of these available. Here's a listing of what is currently there: https://success.workiva.com/help/browse-wdata-chains. There are three SAP connectors listed, as well as Tableau. We also support FTP, SFTP, and JDBC connections, which would likely be generic enough to get to your data, no matter where it lives.

If you're interested in any of the above, your first step would be to reach out to your Workiva rep or CSM and they can help facilitate a convo with our Wdata team directly. In the meantime, give me a holler if you have any questions on the above, or need anything else. Thanks!

Thank you for your response Mike! When you say Workiva rep or CSM, is it from my organizations side or from Workiva side?

No problem, Jay! I doubled checked internally which would be preferred in this case and your Account Owner will be reaching out soon. Thanks again and holler if you need anything else.

Hi Kiran, you can use the SAP Business Warehouse connector to execute the MDX query command. For more information, use this link https://support.workiva.com/hc/en-us/articles/360046344591-SAP-Business-Warehouse-connector to learn how to configure the connector, and this link https://support.workiva.com/hc/en-us/articles/360035645852-SAP-Business-Warehouse-commands to learn about the command.

  • Hello Jeff

Thanks for your comments.. In the documentation could not see the extraction mechanism whether its Push or pull mechanism, if we are using the BW connector here and what will be the program which needs to be defined. Will the workiva team will be given this to SAP to create the RFC connections?

    Thanks!

    Hi Kiran.

With the SAP BW Connector, it allows you to execute MDX queries. So you could retrieve or send data depending on permissions.

The SAP BAPI RFC Connector allows users to utilize RFC connections to interact with SAP systems. More information on this connector and commands can be found here https://support.workiva.com/hc/en-us/sections/360009636532-SAP-BAPI-RFC.
