From my experience, WDesk doesn't work with .xls So I usually use .xlsx. You can upload Visio and Word without any problem. Not sure about other formats. One thing you have to notice is that, WDesk will only show the content that is set for printing. For example, if there is some content that is not within the print area in excel file, it will not show up in WDesk. However, the content will still be uploaded to WDesk but it is just not shown. You can still see all content by downloading the file.

    Great question!

To answer, the Wdesk Controls Management database requires XLSX or CSV for importing a matrix file. More info on this can be found here, at our Help site: https://success.workiva.com/help/controls-management/sox-testing/evidence-testing-with-the-test-form.

Let me know if you have questions in the meantime. Thanks, and have a super weekend. Cheers!

    Hi Mike:

Could you please confirm if XLSX or CSV are still the only files that are supported on requests?

    Thank you!

    Hi Fabiola!

It is both yes and no here. If you want to use for sample selections, then yes, this is true for population PBC requests. But if you just want to add the file as a population you can use other types, but it cannot be used to select samples. Does that make sense?

Quick update for ya here. A recent release to the Workiva Platform has now made importing Visio files available.

Note that the format supported is .vsdx. Holler if you have any questions and have a super day!

This is good, thank you for sharing. I still do not see the Visio option but maybe will have it soon :)

    Hi Fabiola!

Good eyes. There was a phase in this rollout but all options for Visio import should now be available.
