EDGAR 23.2 release and IFRS taxonomy
Hello filing enthusiasts!
You may have seen that on June 20, 2023, the EDGAR release 23.2 included the support for new and updated taxonomies, including the 2023 SEC IFRS taxonomy. The Workiva Team is working on adding the SEC IFRS taxonomy to our platform and will provide an update here when it's available for use, as well as further information on the newly supported taxonomies as they are received.
Note that along with this release, the 2021 versions of the taxonomies (including the quarterly releases in 2021) will no longer be accepted in the EDGAR system. You can reference the the SEC Taxonomies page for a complete listing of supported standard taxonomies.
Let us know what questions you have in the meantime. Thanks as always and happy tagging!

We are happy to announce that the 2023 SEC IFRS Taxonomy is now supported in the Workiva platform.
It is recommended that filers not skip years in migration, i.e. going from 2021 to 2023. If a filer chooses to migrate to the latest taxonomy and is still in the 2021 SEC IFRS, they should perform the following steps to migrate to the 2023 SEC IFRS:- Migrate to the 2022 SEC IFRS
- Address all deprecated items listed in the migration log
- Migrate to the 2023 SEC IFRS
The SEC strongly encourages companies to use the most recent version of taxonomy releases for their XBRL filings to take advantage of the most up-to-date tags related to new accounting standards and other improvements.
