Personalize dashboards for ESG reporting

With Workiva's ESG solutions, Home automatically provides pre-configured data views—called widgets—tailored to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting. To create a personalized central hub to manage your ESG reporting, customize this dashboard and its widgets as you'd like.

Add dashboards

To create more dashboards, such as to switch context between different tasks or reporting needs:

  1. From the toolbar of Home, click New board, and select New, Blank board.

  2. Enter the name of the new dashboard, and click Create.
  3. Set up the new dashboard with the widgets to view.
Tip: When you have multiple dashboards, you can select which appears by default when you sign in. To view the new dashboard every time, click Settings, and select Set as primary.

Set a dashboard's background color

To help personalize or differentiate dashboards, you can customize their background colors. 

  1. From Home, select the dashboard to edit.
  2. On the toolbar, click Settings, and select Background color.

  3. To specify the new background color:
    • Select it from the available palette.
    • Enter its hexadecimal value under Custom color, and click Apply.

Rename a dashboard

To edit a dashboard's name:

  1. From Home, select the dashboard to edit.
  2. On the toolbar, click Settings, and select Rename.
  3. Enter the dashboard's new name, and click Save.

Share a dashboard's layout

To share the widgets and layout you set for a dashboard with other members of your workspace, publish the dashboard as a template.

  1. From Home, select the dashboard to share.
  2. On the toolbar, click Settings, and select Publish as template.
  3. Enter the template's name, and click Publish.
Tip: To view all published dashboard templates, click Settings, and select Manage dashboards. If your organization no longer needs a template, click Delete to remove it.

Delete a dashboard

If you no longer need a dashboard you created, you can delete it.

Note: If you delete a dashboard, you can't recover it.
  1. From Home, select the dashboard to delete.
  2. On the toolbar, click Settings, and select Delete. 
  3. Click Delete.
