The formatting from a source link will flow-through to your destination links. You can also change formatting at a destination.
Include Formatting for Links
Once a change to a source link is published, that change automatically flows to your destination links once the Use Link Formatting from Source box is checked at the destination.
Cell Links
For flow-through formatting in a cell, you must first select Include link formatting at the source.
From the Source Link
- Right-click on the source link and select Cell Properties.
- From the Cell Properties panel, scroll down to Advanced Options.
- Select Include Link Formatting.
From the Destination Link
- Right-click on destination link and select Cell Properties.
- From the Cell Properties panel, scroll down to Advanced Options.
- Select Include Link Formatting.
For cell links, the source formatting such as cell fills, value formatting, and accounting options will flow-through from the source link to all destination links.
Text Links
- Right-click on the destination link and select Link Formatting.
- This opens up the Link Formatting Panel located on the right. Click the Use link formatting from source box.
- Once checked, formatting such as bold, italic, font family, and text color, and paragraph settings flows-through from the source link to all destination links.
Note: Paragraph formatting only flows-through from the source if the destination includes the first character of the paragraph from the source.
Formatting for Destination Links
If you have flow-through formatting from the source, you can also customize each of your destination links.
Destination Links
Any changes made in the destination link to text (font, size, bold, etc.) or cells (value formatting, currency options, etc.) overrides the flow-through formatting from the source.
