Within Organization Admin, you can manage users in your organization to:
You can also use the People section to search for a specific user or view all users and filter by license or role.
Change a username
Note: If the box is checked to use email for username, changing a user's email automatically updates their username.
To change a user's username:
- 1
- In Organization Admin, click People .
- 2
- Find the person by searching by name or username and click on the row to select the user.
- 3
- Enter the new username.
- 4
- Check the box Yes, I'm sure to confirm you'd like to change the username.

- Click Apply Changes.
When you change a user's username, they'll receive an email notifying them of their new username.
Edit user details
To edit user details in your organization, such as name, email, or license:
- 1
- In Organization Admin, click People .
- 2
- Find the person by searching by name or username and click on the row to select the user.

- Make any updates and click Apply Changes.
When you change an email address for a user, an email is sent to both the old and new email addresses informing the user about the change.
Reset a user's password
You can reset a user's passwords if they forget their password. When you reset a user's password, it disables their current password and they are sent an email with a reset link that expires in 24 hours.
To reset a user's password:

- In Organization Admin, click People .
- 2
- Find the user by searching or scrolling through the list. Check the box next to their username.

- Click Reset Password in the toolbar.
- 4
- Click Reset Password in the dialog to finish.
Suspend users
Note: You can only suspend a user if your organization is the user's only organization membership. To suspend users who belong to multiple organizations, contact Workiva Support for help.
When you suspend a user, they are suspended from your organization and from the workspaces where they're a member. They won't be able to access Workiva while suspended. You can suspend one user at a time, or select multiple users to suspend at once.
To suspend users:

- In Organization Admin, click People .
- 2
- Use the checkboxes to select the user or users you want to suspend.
- 3
- In the toolbar, click Remove and select Suspend users.
- 4
- Click Suspend to confirm that you understand that the selected users won't be able to access Workiva once suspended.
Activate users
Note: You can only activate a suspended user if your organization is the user's only organization membership. To activate suspended users who belong to multiple organizations, contact Workiva Support for help.
When you activate a suspended user, they can access Workiva again and their memberships to your organization and to their previous workspaces are restored.
To activate users:
- 1
- In Organization Admin, click People .
- 2
- Use the checkboxes to select the suspended user or users you want to activate.

- In the toolbar, click Add and select Activate users.

- Click Activate to confirm.
