To interact with both Workday® HR and Financials as part of a chain, add a step that includes a Workday connection command. For example:
- Manage sheet content
- Create objects such as views, queries, and sheets
- Upload and download data
- Manage metadata
Use the bi-directional Workday capabilities of these commands to exchange data from a variety of source and target data sources, including performance management systems such as Anaplan®, Oracle® EPM, IBM® Planning Analytics, and Host Analytics®.
To enable these commands, an IT admin first creates a Workday connection and configures its credentials and properties. The connection interacts with Workday via the published Workday REST API and requires that the user belongs to the Integration Developer's group.
Note: To enable access to certain functional groups and domains that relate to the chain's commands, you may need to adjust security and permissions beyond this.
