Sometimes you need to tag a fact with a different concept or date. Use the Replace function to quickly change a concept or date.
If you see that a concept you chose earlier isn’t as accurate as one you find later, replacing a concept saves the extra steps of removing it and re-adding the new one.
Select the fact with the concept you want to replace.
In the XBRL Detail Tagging window, click the down arrow next to the concept and click Replace.
Search for the new concept and click Accept. The Line Item Concept field updates to show the new concept.
Replacing XBRL Dates
Replacing a date for an XBRL fact updates all of the linked uses of that particular fact. Make sure the document is open and XBRL is turned on.
Click the down arrow next to the Dates / Date Ranges and click Replace.
Use the filters to narrow the scope of dates that appear in the list, such as In Doc to show only the dates that appear in the document.
If the date you want doesn’t appear, click the filter you chose to turn it off to show all dates and find the date you need.
If it is not in the list, use the Add Date option to create the date you need.
Select the new date and click Apply. The Dates / Date Ranges field updates to show the new date.
