After you add tabs and content to your Binder, you may need to update or preview your binder's content before sending it to collaborators.
Update binder content
To ensure that you have the most recent versions of documents in your Binder, check to see if any documents need updating. When you make changes to a document in Workiva, an orange arrow appears next to the title in your Binder to indicate that it’s not up-to-date.
To update the document to the latest version, you can click these arrows to update each document individually, or click Update All button to update all of them at once.
If you'd like to replace an out-of-date document with a brand new version, you can use the Replace Document option in the menu.
Regenerate binder content
Occasionally, if a large number of uploaded documents are added to a binder at once, one or more of those documents fail to process. When this occurs, you can regenerate your binder so those documents render correctly in the Binder viewer.
To regenerate your binder:
- From the File toolbar, click Actions.
- Choose Regenerate.
- Click Regenerate in the window to regenerate your binder.
Preview a binder
Before sending your binder to collaborators, you can preview how your binder looks in the Binder viewer. To preview your Binder:
- From the File toolbar, choose Preview.
- Select a version to preview. If you haven't published your binder yet, select Unpublished Binder Content.
Your preview opens in the Binder viewer. You can scroll through your entire binder or select a specific tab from the outline.
