When a document has been validated, the Notifications panel will automatically open at the bottom of the main editor area. You will still have full use of Wdesk while viewing validation results. You can increase or decrease the size of the Notifications panel if needed using the Resize icon in the upper right-hand corner of the panel.
The results can be filtered by clicking on the icons at the top of each column. In the first column, the severity of the issue is indicated and you can filter by items that have been automatically optimized, ones that have been automatically updated but need review and items that require user attention.
In the second column, the hide icons allow you to track which items need addressed and you can filter by items that are selected or unselected. In the Message column, you can filter by the type of message and have them listed in ascending or descending order.
In the Location column, the items can be filtered by the file or document section in which they were found in ascending or descending order.
To reset the filters, you can click on the Reset Filters button in the upper right-hand corner of the Notifications panel.
You can also Copy Results to Clipboard if you want to create a separate document with the validation notifications.
To view the location for any selected validation message, click on the link for the section in the Location column. Alternately, you can right-click and choose the View Location option. This will open the Location Finder in the panel to the left next to the Document Outline.
Click on the section link in the Location Finder to go directly to the value that needs your attention.
