To determine the level of access collaborators have to an ESG Readiness Assessment, its Owner can set its permissions.
Permission levels
To use ESG Readiness Assessments, workspace members need the ESG role. ESG Readiness Assessments also enable various levels of access based on permission type.
Permission | Level of access |

Owner | Has full access to the assessment, including its Permissions
Note: Only Workspace Owners can create custom tags for ESG Readiness Assessments. |
Editor | Can edit details of the assessment — including its coverage, reporting decisions, and action plans — but not its Permissions |
Viewer | Can view — but not edit — the details of the assessment |
Note: To perform actions from an ESG Readiness Assessment that affect ESG Program, such as to create metrics or update their Related ESG content references, workspace members need Editor or Owner permissions to both the ESG Readiness Assessment and its ESG Program.
Set permission for ESG Readiness Assessments
While permissions are usually set during an ESG Readiness Assessment's creation, its Owners can update them at any time, such as to reflect personnel changes.
- From ESG Explorer, open the ESG Readiness Assessment from Readiness assessments.
- From any step of the assessment, click Permissions
- Select the permission level for each collaborator or group, and click Close.
Tip: To find a specific collaborator or group, search by their name.
To view collaborators or groups based on their level access, click Filter

To restrict someone's access to an ESG Readiness Assessment, remove the collaborator or group from its Permissions:
- From ESG Explorer, open the ESG Readiness Assessment from Readiness assessments.
- From any step of the assessment, click Permissions.
- Select the collaborator or group to deny access, and click Remove
- Click Close.
