With the Salesforce Net Zero Cloud spreadsheet, you can collect carbon accounting data from Salesforce Net Zero Cloud (NZC), such as for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting.
Note: The Salesforce Net Zero Cloud spreadsheet is provided by Workiva. If you don't have this spreadsheet but are interested, contact your Workiva Customer Support Manager (CSM) for details.
Step 1. Download data from Salesforce NZC
The Salesforce Net Zero Cloud spreadsheet requires a chain built to download carbon accounting data from Salesforce NZC. With the chain, you can download different types of carbon accounting data from Salesforce NZC:
- Emissions data
- Stationary asset carbon footprint, emission sources, and energy use
- Vehicle asset carbon footprint and energy use
To download data from Salesforce NZC:
- In the Control Sheet section of the Salesforce Net Zero Cloud spreadsheet, select Yes in the Refresh data column for the types of data to download.
Tip: In the Last run log column, you can view when each type of data was last refreshed.
- From Wdata Chain Builder, select Execute for the 1.SF NZC chain, then click Run chain.
Step 2. View and connect carbon accounting data
The Salesforce Net Zero Cloud spreadsheet includes a section for each type of carbon accounting data from Salesforce NZC. When you select to refresh a type of data on the Control Sheet section and run the chain, the values on its respective section update automatically.
To use a value for ESG reporting, connect to a corresponding ESG Program metric.
